Growing maturity, confidence, and self respect
I like to listen to podcasts while I work. In the past I would usually listen to Theology lectures, and yes I still enjoy those. However, I listen to a lot of psychology and life coaches these days...why you may ask?
I am trying to learn so many new skills, create better habits, learn new things for work, and simply be a better steward of my time in getting my work done. Life is full of responsibilities, I see I have to put in the work for these responsibilities to get done. This is not easy. I struggle under the weight of all my responsibilities every day. But these responsibilities in me grow maturity, confidence, and self respect...and I really really like that.
One life coach I like listening to is, Tonya Leigh from the school of self image. Here is my journal entry as to my thoughts to the answers of her questions in a recent podcast.
Tonya Leigh "Acting out your script"
How do you want to feel for one day?
Strong, confident, capable, relaxed, efficient, productive, responsible, clear headed, mature.
What do I need to think to create this feeling?
To create a schedule and stick to it. To be clean and organized and follow through on all my responsibilities. God, a good night's sleep, a good run, and nourishing foods.
What does she wear?
My favorite go to is a dress/skirt and a cardigan with ballet flats. I feel very comfortable and very put together. Today I picked out a black cardigan, green and white floral dress, and brown shoes. I have a work interview this afternoon to be an on call caregiver and the rest of the day I am drawing a dog portrait in the studio.
Dress on purpose and in character. How do you speak, carry yourself?
Swiftly and lightly. With ease. I have places to go and people to see, but not in a hurry.
What about your surroundings?
Comfortable and tidy. The home is organized to make cooking, resting, and sleep efficient. There are different zones. My art studio is also organized into zones to increase productivity.
How are you showing up?
Calm, reliable, and swift. I keep my commitments. I do not rush, nor do I waste time. Efficiency and productivity keep a clear mind which is my goal.
If you have time, how would you answer these questions?
These are my journal entries for the day. Hope you have a lovely day too,
TheClassyLady
